The meeting on Endometriosis management aimed to give to the participants a comprehensive overview of this complex disease. The 3 days were held in Siena, organized by the local team led by prof. Errico Zupi with the help of Italian and international experts in this field. Every delegate had the chance to enlarge their skills in minimally invasive approach to endometriosis along with diagnostic and therapeutic options to have an holistic overview of the disease.
On this occasion, Dr. Simona Del Forno, from the IRCCS team, presented the Mona Lisa Smile project to a large audience, spreading important information about the project goals. “Mona Lisa Smile”: professional education and early diagnosis of endometriosis in adolescence, is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU. “Mona Lisa Smile” develops a digital training (MOOCS) and a specific app, and addresses the needs of education and training of health professionals on endometriosis in adolescence, with the aim of reducing the diagnostic delay.
